Progressive - Family Renewal Program (P-FRP)
A Gradual, Structured, and Highly Adaptable Path to Reconnection
The Progressive Family Renewal Program (P‑FRP) is an innovative, three‑phase model that blends the most effective elements of FRP’s 4‑Day Family Renewal Retreat into a gradual, accessible format.
It includes a Guided Family Renewal 2‑day workshop with an overnight excursion, offering families a structured yet flexible pathway to rebuild connection at a pace that feels safe and manageable. P‑FRP is ideal for light to moderate cases of family disruption, for families with more limited resources or narrower court or consent‑order authority, and for situations where a full retreat is not feasible.
With additional structure provided by a court order, consent order, or mutual agreement, the program can also support severely disrupted families or serve as a powerful “reset” for families needing to refresh and stabilize their relationships.
Highly adaptive and customizable—including the type of experiential excursion chosen to enhance relational bonding—P‑FRP provides a child‑centered, emotionally safe, and practical route toward renewed connection.

What Do We Offer?
Progressive Family Renewal Program (P‑FRP)
Structured. Gradual. Customizable. Effective.
The Progressive Family Renewal Program (P-FRP) is built around a clear, three‑phase structure that helps families move from preparation, to guided reconnection, to stable follow‑through.
While designed to be accessible for families with light to moderate relational disruption—or where financial resources, time, or court authority are more limited—P‑FRP can also be highly effective in more complex or severely disrupted situations when supported by a court order, consent order, or mutual agreement that provides additional structure. The model is adaptive, customizable, and developmentally attuned, making it suitable for children, adolescents, and even older teens who may struggle with traditional talk‑therapy formats.
P‑FRP emphasizes emotional safety, cooperation from both parents, and a predictable framework that reduces pressure on the child while supporting healthier, more stable family functioning. The program’s experiential elements—including the Guided Family Renewal 2‑day workshop and overnight excursion—are intentionally selected to enhance relational bonding, rebuild trust, and create positive shared experiences that support long‑term connection.
Key Program Features
P‑FRP links preparation, guided reconnection, and after‑care into a coordinated continuum of care. Each phase builds on the last, creating steady momentum and reducing the risk of regression.
Guided Family Renewal 2‑Day Workshop + Overnight Excursion
A focused, experiential reconnection experience that blends psychoeducation, coached communication, and interest‑based activities. The excursion is customizable—outdoor, cultural, creative, or adventure‑based—to match the child’s developmental needs and strengthen relational bonding.
Flexible and Accessible
Designed to work within the realities of each family’s circumstances, including:
limited financial resources
limited court or consent‑order authority
time constraints
moderate levels of relational disruption
families needing a “refresh” after prior progress
Expandable for More Complex Cases
With additional structure provided by a court order, consent order, or mutual agreement, P‑FRP can be used effectively with:
severely disrupted families
entrenched parent‑child avoidance
high‑conflict dynamics
older adolescents who resist traditional therapy
Child‑Centered and Trauma‑Informed
The program prioritizes emotional safety, predictable pacing, and developmentally appropriate engagement. Teens benefit from experiential, low‑demand, interest‑based approaches that reduce pressure and increase willingness to participate.
Cooperation and Guardrails
P‑FRP includes clear expectations for both parents, including:
respectful communication
non‑disparagement
confidentiality
adherence to the Family Renewal Plan
support for the child’s emotional safety These guardrails help reduce competing messages and create a more stable environment for the child.
Customizable Experiences
The experiential component is tailored to the family’s needs and may include:
outdoor activities
cultural or creative experiences
guided relational tasks
shared mastery challenges
interest‑based outings This customization increases engagement and strengthens the parent‑child bond.
Coordinated After‑Care
After‑Care stabilizes gains through ongoing counseling, parent support, and structured follow‑through. This phase helps families maintain progress as they transition back into everyday routine
